Description
when using UI Dialogs in modal mode, the noticeable slowness of all mouse/keyboard actions with standard form controls is experienced (typing in the inputs/textareas, selecting in drop-downs etc). It is evident in Firefox and IE, becoming especially problematic in IE7.

De jure, you're right.
However, when the contents of the dialog gets complex, the delay in some cases becomes so bad, that it's almost not possible working at all (in IE7). Scott Gonzalez has the access to my restricted-access application for the test case.
