Sortable crashes IE 8 when placeholder class is set

Description
When using sortable in IE8 it works ok without setting the Placeholder css class.
Whenever I specify a css class to Sortable, however, IE8 beta 2 crashes. IE 8 beta 2 version is: 8.0.6001.18241.
