Selectable behavior incorrect in OSX 10.5.6 with Safari 3.1.2

Description

The selectable interaction component does not seem to be behaving in Safari 3.1.2 - in both the demo page (http://jqueryui.com/demos/selectable/) and my local app, multiple selectable elements are highlighted when clicked. See attached screenshot.

Thanks for taking the time to contribute to the jQuery UI project! Safari 3.1.2 is no longer supported therefore this is not something we're going to look into. The demo functions correctly in Safari 5 and Safari 6 on OS X.
