Animating colors does NOT work in ANY browser

Description
The example code from the documentation does not work in any browser:

Also - animated change of class produces errors on ALL IE versions:

I doubt since the the given jquery ui source (http://jqueryui.com/latest/ui/effects.core.js) is invalid but ... probably a documentation issue.
The second ticket is still opened (#5213)
