select event not fired on tab initialization

Description
Currently, the function I have defined for the "select" option is not called when the tabs are initialized.
It would be nice if the select event was triggered upon tab initialization, taking into account the "selected" option.
To maintain backwards compatibility, an option could be added that enables this feature. Something like "triggerSelectOnInit".
