Verified this is still an issue in 1.9.1 - http://jsfiddle.net/tj_vantoll/vBNCC/. This happens on any wrapped element (img, input, textarea, etc...) therefore I'm changing the summary accordingly.
#7190 is a duplicate of this ticket.
