Description

The issue was described in detail in http://forum.jquery.com/topic/jquery-ui-opera-dtd-html-4-0-transitional-empty-horizontal-line-between-the-tabs-and-the-tab-panels . I have been unable to locate replies to this post, or other mentions of this issue.

jQuery: 1.5.1

jQuery-ui: 1.8.10

Opera: Opera/9.80 (Windows NT 5.1; U; en) Presto/2.7.62 Version/11.01

OS: Windows XP Pro 2002 SP3

The doctype mentioned in the post triggers almost standards mode. jQuery and jQuery UI only support standards mode.
