Google Chrome - dialog missing images and UI elements

Hi All,
In Google Chrome (21.0.1180.77) with jQuery 1.6.2 and jQuery UI 1.8.14, I'm having issues with the dialog UI element. This is on Windows 7 64-bit.
If I have a doctype of <!doctype HTML>, the header of the dialog has no background image, and the close "X" at the top right is missing.
If the doctype is changed or removed, then these missing images re-appear.
Please see the following image for an example:

This does not happen in IE7,8,9, or Firefox 14.0.1

Because we get so many tickets, we often need to return them to the initial reporter for more information. We need more than a screenshot. Please provide a reduced test case showing the problem. Please also use the latest version of jQuery UI, you're 8 versions behind.
