Modal Dialog with closeonescape = true hungs animated gif when esc is pressed

Description
i have a modal dialog with an animated gif showing an indeterminated progress. Modal dialog has closeonescape= true.
When I press escape key, animation of gif stops.

Because we get so many tickets, we often need to return them to the initial reporter for more information. We'll need a reduced test case showing the problem. Does this occur in all browsers? Where is the gif in relation to the dialog?
