Format is switched when activated before page is completely loaded

Description

I am experiencing a bug when using ui.datepicker and initiating datepicker dropdown quickly, before page is completely loaded.

Here is my code:

$(function() {
  $dateObj.datepicker({
    dateFormat: 'mm-dd-yy'
  });
});
</script>

The bug is, when a date is chosen, it is in dd-mm-yy format, instead of the dateFormat specified above.

Please provide a reduced test case showing the problem. Also, note that 1.9.x hasn't been supported for quite a while. Make sure you're using the latest version when creating the test case.
