Typing a letter and then selecting an option with the mouse leads to the wrong option being selected

Hi.
I am writing to you regarding Selectmenu widget. There is some problem when user type a letter and then select an option from selectmenu. It is a problem for fast users.
For example:
click on selectmenu then type some letter and then select an option quickly. As a result option you select wouldn’t be selected. Please, watch video at the link. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SWQdFPKypmc
