Hi,
The activeClass property no longer seems to "work" at all (as if it's not there) with the latest releases of jQuery/UI. I don't have a demo online but I did write a simple test page to confirm the problem, here:
Be sure to check 1.2.6 + 1.6r4 in addition to 1.3 + 1.6r5.

Hm, you can actually close this bug. It's in 1.6r5 but it's not in trunk, so...that's good :)
