Mouse click not always triggering click event in Firefox/3.0.12 (ui.autocomplete)

Description
The autocomplete does not always appear to work on mouse click in Firefox/3.0.12. The events for searching and opening are triggering, but the select is not. However, it does work using the keyboard without fail. I have the following user agent details:
Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-GB; rv:1.9.0.12) Gecko/2009071200 SUSE/3.0.12-0.1.2 Firefox/3.0.12
Please provide a test case with instructions.
