Modal background png opacity breaks after 16 clicks in Dialog

Description
I have implemented a ui.dialog box with Modal turned on and a gray png background. I am using this on a page for an FAQ that has 43 FAQ questions. Every time you click a question, a UI Modal Dialog box opens with a close button at the bottom.
After 16 open and closes of the various dialog boxes or even the same one, on the 17th click to open the dialog box, the background png loses the opacity and becomes a solid gray color, no longer displaying the page behind, but just a solid gray color.
I ran 6 benchmark tests, changing the choices and no matter what choice it broke on the 17th click every time. I looked for a reason, but could not find one.
This doesn't sound like it's related to the dialog. Please use the forums for help.
