Modal Dialog partially works in ie9 rtm

NOTE: These errors are all found in IE 9 RTM 9.0.8112.16421

  • Open the demos in the bundle 1.8.11

\\jquery-ui-1.8.11\\jquery-ui-1.8.11\\demos\\dialog\\index.html

  • Issues starting from Exmaples Menu (found in index.html):

1. Open 'Default functionality'

Bug: Try to drag the 'Basic Dialog' Window. Notice IE 9 Debug Window (F12) is loaded with errors 'SCRIPT65535: Invalid calling object'

2. Open 'Animated dialog'

Bug: The dialog will not close, Bug 1 above also happens

3. Open 'Modal form'

Bug: Notice dialog will not even open.

All of these work fine for me in IE 9. Perhaps you're trying to run the scripts from inside the zip instead of unzipping and running the actual files.
