Empty white space in Chrome extension popup

Description

Popups with autocompletes in a Chrome extension start with empty white space that disappear after focusing on the widget. Images are linked:

This white space is not accessible as html elements through the Chrome inspection tool.

You can find a bare bones chrome extension demonstrating this bug at

http://www.2shared.com/file/TPK07dr-/whitespaceBug.html

In this example, simply removing jquery UI.js fixes the issue.

My example uses an older version (December 2012), but I have verified the bug is present in newer versions.

A hotfix or suggestions on creating one would be VERY APPRECIATED!

Thank you

-Frank
