Datepicker: displaying multiple months shows an extra row of dates on months subsequent to a "long" month

This seems related to #7043. Ideally October would have the same number of rows as August, rather than having an empty row to match September's height.

This was discussed at length on github, and was decided that the fix was not the correct one.
